Learn to fly

You‘ve probably stood there watching the birds soaring effortlessly overhead and thought "if only..."
You may even have seen hang gliders and paragliders in action over the Welsh hills, and longed to have a go...
Well, learning to fly a hang glider or paraglider can be great fun, and isn‘t as difficult or as daunting as you might at first think.
How do I get started?
Whilst UK clubs are always willing to offer advice and encouragement, initial instruction should always be undertaken at a
BHPA registered school.
There is no real upper age limit provided you are reasonably fit, but current Air Law requires that you must be at least 16 years old before you can attempt solo flight.

Training for each type of wing may be slightly different, but ultimately the goal is the same - to obtain your Club Pilot (CP) rating, and go flying within the safe environment of a local club.

So what‘s stopping you, the worst that could happen is that you become hooked!
